SPOTLIGHT BOULDER JAM is back for its third edition.
One of the biggest bouldering competitions in Slovakia brought together more than 150 competitors last year. Hobby and Profi, women and men – a competition for everyone who wants to climb hard and have a great time.
The qualification round features 20 boulders for everyone. The best climbers in the Profi category will meet in the finals in the evening. The Hobby category will be ranked based on the qualification results.
CATEGORIES
The competition has two categories – Hobby and Profi, with separate rankings for women and men.
MASTERS 40+ (born in 1986 or earlier)
This year, we are also introducing a separate 40+ ranking for women and men. When registering, simply choose Hobby or Profi – there is no separate registration for Masters.
The 40+ competitors will be ranked separately at the end of the competition.
The minimum age to participate is 14. In exceptional cases, we may grant an age exemption. If you are under 14 and would like to compete, contact us at info@boulderspot.sk
When registering, choose either the Hobby or Profi category. If you climb around 7A or harder, we recommend choosing Profi.

Results and Awards |
The top 6 women and 6 men from the Profi category will advance to the evening finals.
The finalists will face 4 boulders. The competition will follow the IFSC zone and top scoring system.
At 18:00, we turn up the volume – final boulders, lights and music.
After the finals, we will announce the results and award prizes to the best competitors in the Hobby, Profi and Masters 40+ categories.
SPOTLIGHT BOULDER JAM is not just about the competition. Throughout the day, you can also look forward to a side program, shoe testing, climbing brands, booths and more.
EB Climbing – climbing shoe testing
You’ll be able to test EB Climbing shoes directly on the boulders. Their climbing apparel will also be available at their booth.
This year, SPOTLIGHT BOULDER JAM is joined by our partners and brands – Barsfine, Powerlogy, Liquid Positive, Gripstone, Rafiki, Lannocorda, La Sportiva, Woolies, Black Diamond,Lezolep, Sens, Musetti, Lyo and Vlčie. Some of them will join us in person, while others will contribute products, refreshments or prizes for the competitors.
And there’s more to come. We’ll be introducing more of the program and updates gradually on our social media.
Registration is online via Verti. If the page opens in Slovak, you can switch to English in the language menu at the top.
When registering, you’ll create an account that you’ll also use during the competition. Choose either Hobby or Profi and one of the two qualification groups.
If you climb around 7A or harder, we recommend choosing the Profi category.
If you are 40+, you don’t need to select a separate Masters category. Register for Hobby or Profi and we’ll automatically include you in the Masters 40+ ranking.
During qualification, we’ll use self-scoring – you’ll enter your results yourself on your phone directly in Verti. Live results and the competition schedule will also be displayed on screens at SPOT.
The entry fee is paid on site at registration – 1st qualification group from 9:00, 2nd qualification group from 12:30.
Each competitor will have 20 boulders in the qualification round.
10 boulders are shared by Hobby and Profi, while each category has 10 additional boulders of its own.

The ranking is determined by:
1.number of tops
2.number of attempts to top
Visitors aged 15–18 must provide a declaration signed by a legal guardian during registration.
