Boulders and Bouldering Grades
At any given moment, there are over 100 boulders on the wall. So far, you can climb on holds and structures from the Anatomic, Illusion, X-Cult, and Anti-Gravity brands, but we are regularly expanding the range of brands and shapes of holds. As the only one in Bratislava, we build boulders regularly twice a week – always on Tuesdays and Fridays, so you can look forward to new boulders more often. Our approach to sectors is also unique. We build in smaller sectors, on several parts of the wall, which means that after one build, you will have a more diverse range of boulders in different profiles and new features – eager climbers will be spread out more on the wall and you will not be crowded on a small piece after each build.
Rules for boulders
Boulders are made up of holds and structures of only one color. Structures in the color of the wall (jade green, light gray, and wood color) can be used in all boulders. Each boulder starts with marked holds and steps for the ascent. The ascent is marked with black tapes, each tape represents one limb that must be on a given hold or structure when ascending. If a structure is marked, this also applies to all holds that are on it. The boulder ends in a hold that we call the “top”. This is marked with one black tape, it should be held with two hands, with the body in a controlled position.
